Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This policy explains how information submitted through this website is handled. The website is operated for Vincent John's real estate and property marketing activities in Australia.

1. Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, phone number, email address, property address, selling timeframe, property information, messages and any files or photographs you choose to submit. We may also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser information, referring page, campaign parameters and interactions with the website.

We use IP-based city and region estimates to check whether advertising reaches Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast. An IP address does not establish your exact location or home address; mobile networks, VPNs and relays can affect these estimates. We do not collect GPS or precise device location through this process.

2. Why we collect it

We use information to respond to appraisal and property enquiries, communicate with you, provide requested services, improve the website, measure advertising performance, maintain records of marketing consent and, where you have opted in, send property updates and marketing communications.

3. Contact and marketing consent

When you submit a property estimate request, you agree that Vincent John can use the contact details you provide to contact you about your property, prepare your estimate and follow up on your enquiry. Your name and any additional property notes are optional. You can unsubscribe or ask us to stop contacting you at any time by calling 0451 066 577 or replying to our email.

We record the submission time, the consent wording and its version, and the page where you submitted the request. Adding optional details later does not change the original consent time. This permission relates to your property enquiry; ongoing promotional emails or SMS require a separate marketing opt-in.

Marketing consent is optional. Where you opt in to SMS or email marketing, we keep a record of the consent, including the source and time of submission where available. You can unsubscribe at any time using the method provided in a message or by contacting Vincent John.

4. Cookies, Meta and Google

With your consent, this site may use Meta Pixel and Google Analytics to understand website usage, measure advertising performance and build advertising audiences. These providers may process information on servers outside Australia in accordance with their own privacy policies. Optional tracking scripts are not loaded until you accept analytics and advertising cookies on this website.

5. Service providers

We use Hostinger for website hosting and Supabase for enquiry and website analytics records. IP location estimates are calculated within our existing analytics backend using a downloaded database; visitor IP addresses are not sent to a separate geolocation API. IP Geolocation by DB-IP (City Lite, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0; adapted to Australian city estimates and country estimates elsewhere). These estimates have reduced coverage and accuracy and do not verify where a person lives. We may also use service providers for email, SMS, CRM, security, automation and advertising. These providers may process information outside Australia. Information is shared only where reasonably necessary for those services or where required by law.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including restricted access, encrypted connections, account security controls and separation between the public website and lead database. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, personal information held about you. You may also ask us to stop marketing communications.

8. Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, legal and record-keeping obligations, or legitimate business needs. Information that is no longer required should be securely deleted or de-identified where appropriate.

9. Contact

For privacy enquiries, access or correction requests, contact Vincent John on 0451 066 577.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the website, service providers or data practices change. The current version will be published on this page.
